TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers from Australia do not need to apply for a visa prior to leaving for Thailand if they plan to stay for 45 days. Australians are eligible for a visa exemption that allows them to stay in Thailand for up to 60 days upon arrival. Upon entry, they will receive a visa-exempt stamp. If they wish to stay longer, they can apply for an extension of an additional 30 days while in Thailand.
Donโt see any point in having this group if people canโt ask a question without getting harassed for doing soโฆ. Yes google is available but google can also provide conflicting or out of date information so maybe people use the group to get some clarity ๐คทโโ๏ธ

No as you will get a 60 visa exempt stamp upon arrival.

If you want a visa, you'll have to apply for one. You can come visa exempt for 60 days though, without a visa.

When coming to Thailand, do I need an onward ticket?
itโs actually not a rude answer , itโs the truth and what I would do if I was after legitimate information when travelling especially involving a visa which is a critical part of getting into a country ๐คทโโ๏ธ
