TLDR : Answer Summary
Australians flying to Thailand do not need to apply for a Visa on arrival or an E Visa. Instead, they receive a visa exemption stamp for 60 days upon arrival, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office.

What is your passport nation? Where you are flying from doesn't matter.

There is currently NO visa requirements for a tourist to enter Thailand from Australia

As long as your passport has more than 6 months left

When you arrive you get a entry stamp for 60 days
