TLDR : Answer Summary
Australian citizens traveling to Thailand for up to 60 days can obtain a visa exemption stamp upon arrival, eliminating the need to apply for a tourist visa online.

Something a 15second Google search would have answered

guess it's like the mossies, tm30 and refunded deposits. A quick 15sec google search would have confirm that. ๐Ÿ‘

I don't use the Thai embassy pages but the UK Govt pages. Thought Aus Govt would tell it's people entry requirements.
Wayne *********
@Lynnette ******
yeh not many bother with that site as it mostly post travel warnings. Not many go scrolling through to find the requirements. I personally ignore it and don't know many that use it.

@Wayne ********
but they can. I was just curious if there was anything.

@Lynnette ******
Agree but also who would think to google smart traveller. Should be a simple search via a menu on govt website for a link.

@Wayne ********
I googled Aus Govt info travel to Thailand and Smarttraveller came up.
Wayne *********
@Lynnette ******

There's no free visa, as you can only get a visa by applying for and paying for one. But if you have an Australian passport you can get a 60 day visa exempt stamp without a visa.

@Brandon ***********
correct me if I am wrong a US citizen does not need a visa
James ********
@Gilbert *******
No ! You get a 60 day stamp in your passport in the airport at immagration that you can extend by another 30 days at any local immagration office if you wish to stay up to 90 days

@James *******
thank you I am looking at making a trip in 2026

@Gilbert *******
keep an eye on things as the visa exempt stamp could change at anytime back to 30 days instead of 60 between now and 2026
