Will Jomtien Immigration allow a renter to do an in person TM30 and if so would it require a proxy? I am NOT asking who is supposed to do the registration. I just want to know if it is allowed.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, renters are allowed to file a TM30 registration in person at the Jomtien Immigration office. Several individuals confirmed that they successfully filed their TM30 there without issues, as long as they provided the necessary documentation such as the landlord's ID, rental contract, and in some cases, the house book. A proxy is not required, but the renter must have the owner's ID and relevant paperwork to complete the process.

I believe that the OP now has the answers needed for his question. He visited the Jomtien Immigration office and got the list of requirements for the TM30.

If you have the owners house book and ID

need ID and tabien baan of landlord / owner and also the tabien baan of the place you are renting. You can then submit your own TM30 - in person or online
so it is the right information - just expanded on? When I went to register for my tm30 I had to get the landlords id, landlords tabien baan, tabien baan of house we were renting and also rental agreement - has that changed now?
. In jomtien office they accept the tm30 WITHOUT any house/condo papers but you do need the i.d of who you pay the rent to. (I assume this is a big tax chase lol). You also need the renters contract.
great, thanx a lot for that info.. appreciate it (y)

I agree with Pete and Runar, did it once with just a monthly hotel receipt. Depends on their mood.

Yes as a renter I have personally filed a TM30 at Jomtien immigration. No issues…

I have done it myself as a tenant at Chonburi Immigration. Brought copies of passport (photo and visa page) and rental contract.

I looked at every possible resource before I allowed your post... and I did not find the answer to your question.
I use the Jomtien Immigration office.
Suggest you ask Jomtien Immigration office...
What is a PROXY ?
ARE you the renter? Or property owner? Just trying to figure out why you are asking ...as it's the responsibility of the landlord to file a TM30 address registration within 24 hours of the tenants arrival.
And look at the possibility of using the on-line TM30 address registration...
a proxy is used to allow the owner to delegate the renter to do it.
I stated that I am a renter.
I also stated that I did not want infirmation on who was "supposed" to do it.
As to why, I have lived in 3 different condos as a renter. All three were foreign owned and were out of Thailand for extended periods. Not easy to get them to do TM30s from overseas, especially within 24 hours.
Sorry but you explain: "Not easy to get them to do TM30s from overseas, especially within 24 hours."
As a owner you can register the address and give the tenant the login and password to make the registration by themself or give it to the landlord who is collecting the rent.
IF you want to recieve rent, it is easy to follow the Immigration rules IF you want.
I don't know about Jomtien, but you can self file a TM30, usually you bring copy of landlord's ID and house book and rental contract.

And my reply was also for the benefit of others who read the posts to learn from them. That's WHY I apparently answered your question beyond what you asked. Mea Culpa 🧐
you are going to ask your question with the Jomtien Immigration office. And please report back what they say. It appears that there have been changes seen with the TM30 filing requirements in MANY of the Thai Immigration offices nationwide.
