Have couple questions that really confused me and would like to seek member's advise in here.
I arrived Thailand on Sept 24, 2023 with a NON - Immigrant OA retirement visa applied in the US.
Bangkok airport immigration stamped for 10 months stay - i think this is due to my return ticket only lasted up to July 27 2024.
I planned to arrange an extension of 1 year for the NON OA or new application of the NON O retirement visa sometime in June, at Immigration Division 1 Bangkok.
However, during my recent business trip to Indonesia, Airport immigration stamped NON OA evisa until May 7, 2025.
Does this means my visa just got renew/extended for 1 year until 2025? And i do not need to renew/extend at Division 1 in June 2024 in person?
Does this also means by 2025 before the stamp expire, i can just leave Thailand and return for another 1 year stamp up to 2026? without going to Division 1?
Thank you in advance for valuable input.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The NON-OA retirement visa allows multiple entries, with the stamping duration based on your insurance policy. You can be stamped for one year upon each entry if your insurance is valid for that period. If your current stamp is valid until May 2025, it can be used for staying in Thailand until then. However, if you leave Thailand after the visa's expiration, you'll require a re-entry permit to maintain your stamp. It's advised to manage visa renewals with careful planning regarding your bank account balance and insurance requirements to avoid complexities.
