A basic question please. I got a multiple entry 1 year non imm O-A visa with length of stay 1 year at the Thai Embassy in Helsinki:

Date of grant 21 July 2023

Visa must be used by 20 July 2024

Does it mean that every time I enter I will be stamped in for one year, even if I enter 20 July 2024? With this visa can I buy a re-entry permit after 20 July 2024? Many thks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A multiple entry 1 year NON-O-A visa allows for entry into Thailand with a stay of up to one year at each entry until your mandatory insurance expires. If you re-purchase your insurance before July 20, 2024, you can re-enter and receive another year stay stamp. To maintain your stay if you plan to exit and re-enter Thailand after your visa's expiration date, you would need to obtain a re-entry permit.

Just a bit of a summary.

Close, you will get stamped in until your mandatory insurance runs out (up to one year) when you enter each time.

AND

if you get a new year insurance policy next year and then exit/re-enter on or before the 20th of July 2024 you would get stamped in for a new year

You are correct, then you would need to get a re-entry permit to keep that stamp "alive" and exit/re-enter the country

@Tod ********
so best case scenario (I mean longest validity of this visa) would be July 20, 2025 ? Therefore to maximize an OA visa date of grant and date of first arrival should be as close as possible ?

@Daniel ****
your possible latest day in Thailand with your Non-OA would be 19th July 2025, if you enter on 20 July 2024 with a whole (365 days) year insurance.

thanks for your clarification ! You guys rock !

@Daniel ****
you only get stamped in as long as your mandatory health insurance is valid for (up to a year) and you can't let the insurance lapse.

You're a LONG way off from needing to bounce out and back to get another year ๐Ÿ™‚
