shave maybe a good 15-30 minutes at times. i rarely put bags on the overhead bin and when people start to stand up in the plane, i race to the front past the people who are slowpokes and those who need to to get their overhead bads. one time, i was first person in the immigration counter before all the people start building up long lines behind me. so NO don't stand up right when the plane lands, but i take the aisle seat and when it's ok to stand up, i smoothly go towards the door early
