Ok, I understand. I will just use flights as my way out/in Thailand then. I dont want to deal with this. Hope there will be no problems with that with valid METV :)

Thank you for this info. This helped me a lot with preparing my plans.

Is there any change with entries with METV? I came with this visa to Thailand just two days ago. I am planning leave to Vietnam at December, come back to Thailand before NY, leave again to Phillipines in February, stay there one week and then come back to Thailand again, stay until end of March and then flight back to my home country in Europe. I send all my travel plans to thai embassy in my home country and i got the visa. So I hope there are changes only related to visa exemptions and not METV, right?

Do you have to do it in local immigration from changwat of your wife (adress on her ID) or any immigration? We tried in Chaengwattana and officer told us we have to do it in local immigration...i called there first (becouse its long way from Bangkok at Surin changwat) and officer was talking just about emergency extension and didnt understand 😖
