Yes you can't win but I have been using XE lately versus wise when I transfer a large amount.

I didn't see one good idea yet but it's the costs to live here. The second year however you can take the money out of the bank if you sent at least 40,000 baht per month from an overseas bank account to your Thai bank account which shows you have enough money for living expenses. Many embassies will verify your income however our worthless Embassy hasn't seem to want to help out. I have lived overseas for 35 years and the American services at the embassy are a joke.
