thank you for your advice I will relay this to them. I wonder if they can cancel it without their work permit on hand. Work permit booklet has been returned to HR.

just resigned. They went already to the immigration and they just gave them list of requirements to get from the company but then the company refused to provide as for them everything is auto cancel due to Covid and no need to do anything.
