I would not depend on not being asked.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I have had to show a return ticket two times out of my last 5 entry’s.

Not a good idea to post an opinion as opposed to actual requirements.

Any immigration officer has the discretion of asking for your onward or return ticket.

I have been asked twice for ticket evidence my last 5 entry trips.

Some ex-pats circulate false advice that you don’t need ticket evidence but that is not always true.

Consider having a ticket as immigration entry insurance. 🙏🇹🇭

Once the new immigration entry online mechanism is implemented,

.. it will be required to provide evidence of an onward or return ticket when registering.

At least that is my understanding?
