Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Bangkok at all during Songkran, especially if the goal is fun and a festive atmosphere.

Bangkok during these days is characterized by huge crowds, heavy traffic, bustle, and fatigue after just 2-3 days.

Yes, it's a big place, but it's more of a "see-see" experience than a true day-to-day experience.

If you're looking for a truly fun Songkran, I'd recommend

going straight to Pattaya and spending all 7 days there. In Pattaya, Songkran isn't just one day of chaos, but a whole week of pleasure. So my advice is to not spread yourself too thin, but to choose one place and experience the holiday to the fullest.

And Pattaya is better suited for this than Bangkok
