I also looked at it 3 months ago & felt the same way. Then Thailand opened for O visas & I forgot about Colombia. A good info site is Medellinguru.com (for general info, even if you are a beach/Cartegena dude.) I can report that there is no quarantine if you have a PCR test. If you don't you have to be quarantined until PCR tests come back (@3days) -but its way better to get it before you leave. The 90 day visas are no problem. The only problem now is finding a reasonable priced short stay apt. Its not as booked up as Florida, but its close. Good Luck.

Yes, well put "New York?? the nest of...." You can add a lot of nasty groups in that space!Since March it is truly hell-we have the most extreme lockdowns measure anywhere in the world (except for China of course). Worse, everyone knows they ain't workin' but there is no end in sight. The only city I have ever loved is unrecognizable. Anyway, you are right: if I am trapped in BKK & unable to make it Phuket, I definitely won't be happy. Thx.

Hi, I can definitely understand why people are dissuaded by the ASQ. But I have no problem with ASQ: I paid in full for a One Bedroom Pool Villa with 100% free access to private pool & patio (Anantara). My Thai buddy was even going to stash a 2week supply of ganja in it for me. So I was really looking forward to it! The problem is that Qatar cancelled all flights into Phuket (bast*rds) & I am scared of being trapped in BKK if they block travel to Phuket like the did earlier in the year. And I am a Phuket lover, BKK hater. Anyway, at least you live in Australia which is an awesome place. Thx

I don't have a question. I am simply warning Phuket lovers that now is not the time: Mymessage is that: you can get into Thailand, do your ASQ and then be stuck in Bangkok if they prohibit travel to Phuket (like they did last time). For dudes that love Bangkok -sure, go why not? But there are lots of Thai lovers who can't understand why people go to Bangkok in normal times (I don't pay for sex, btw) -especially if its locked down. That's all I was trying to say. Btw, I thought getting a visa would be easy...but the NY Thai consulate lost my Cdn passport & US Greencard...even though I sent it UPS & the tracking # showed it was delivered. A quick FB search showed that I am not the only (you can check if you care). Thx.

There is going to be a ceremony? Probably will be. We did one in NYC on Dec 22 I think, but few vaccinations since (huge controversy here, but luckily for Cuomo/deBlasio, the Washington riots overshadowed it)

Me too. I agree 100% But here is what I left out (I will change the post, btw-thanks!): I only like Phuket. If I fly/ASQ into BKK, then I run the very real risk of being forced to stay there since they locked out Phuket last time. In hindsight (aka 90 minutes ago) that prospect pushed me over the edge. If I was a Bangkok dude, I would probably still go. Thx

Yes, way more than Thailand. But I'm a New York'er! I am accustomed to dudes testing me once in a while. I I know Euro's think NYC is safe, but they only go to Manhattan (which isn't really NY anymore). The boroughs are as bad as ever..most crime isn't even reported. Btw, my Colombian buddy in NY told me where to get a gun in Cartegena -I said "No way, I always play defense on foreign turf. Thx for info.
