Anyways, OP and I are on several common facebook groups and I have given her advice several times including restaurants in taiwan and my experience of getting a thai visa in taipei. As I pointed out earlier, I told OP that everyone who wanted to get a tourist visa was asked to prove to have a residence card in taiwan (which op doesn't have). That's why I shared my experience with op which didn't seem to be the case with the type of visa. I found offensive after sharing my experience with op that she wrote a post saying "hey, look at you liars, I got my visa with no issues" and I pointed that out cuz I've dedicated time to her to answer a lot of questions. Said that, no, I can't stand women like you. I'm allergic to karens....

it's quite offensive that you call me "bs" while I clearly explained that they asked me for my arc when I applied for a tourist visa in January. I don't know about DTV (it has been on for just few months) but for a METV you definitely need to prove you work here and u got an ARC. Congratulations for you visa and thanks for being so kind to those who shared their information with you

u can get a multi entry tourist visa or u can do a 60+30+60 days visa exempt. If you have been in the country for over 6months (this year) you better apply for a retirement visa otherwise you might get a lot of questions at the immigration....

how long have you been in thailand this year with your old passport?

you can get a retirement visa even you're not retired. You just need to show u got 800.000baht in your bank account. If you've already spent 6months in thailand this year then it's true you could be possibly denied.
