Anonymous participant 564 Malaysian here, I applied via the Penang branch thinking it would be easier since it’s closer to me. But honestly, I would recommend going through KL or Kota Bharu instead. From what I have heard, they have clearer procedures and a more consistent experience with DTV applications.

Here’s what I was asked to submit as additional documents:

1) Please provide all pages of passport, including empty pages.

1b) Please answer the following questions: 1. What's the details of your work in Thailand. 2. Do you have an office in Thailand. 3. How often do you travel to Thailand for working. 4. Why do you choose Thailand for the place of remote working.

2) Please provide more information: What is the nature of your work? and provide samples of your work.

3) Please provide a bank statement with movement of transaction.

My tip: Send everything as clearly and completely as possible, I combined everything into one PDF and submitted it in one go to help speed things up.
