I did fill in the paperwork, it was the lady at the check in desk that stopped me and asked for proof, as a new build in thailand on my girlfriends own land no proof was available, no blue book untill property complete. That was only issue, lack of proof.
buying a house is a good reason, it's on the list, just make sure you have proof, im still building so no blue book or other info, fortunately they took my pictures of the proof eventually
"Update" I'm now in my ASQ in Bangkok, lady that first refused me I asked her to ask her supervisor, supervisor called Amsterdam supervisor (connecting flight) and she said OK, so I just managed to catch flight after 3 very fraught hours.
Very good otherwise, thanks for all the help and encouragement (most people)
I have just got COE for 30 day exempt due to speed of needing to travel this week, can you apply for 60 day visa or anything longer while in thailand ?
Also where would be nearest immigration to yasothon or Mukdahan, I know there is a very small office in Mukdahan but not sure what they do. Sorry for jumping on this but similar question.
Just asked Embessy in London for turn round time for visa application they say 2 to 4 weeks, looks like I will have to book everything for 1 months time then, flights and quarantine hotel as need to put them on application. 😥😥😥
Sorry to tag onto this but do you still need COE for 30day tourist visa, I was going to get 60day from consulate in uk as can be done in 1hr but its now closed (covid) and would like to travel ASAP. Then I will change visa hopefully once quarantine finished.
