Can I use a sponsor for the 500,000 baht requirement for a DTV Workcation visa in Thailand?

Sponsor letters are usually for parents sponsoring their children's dtv- dependant. I've only read maybe 2 or 3 people who were able to get their main dtv approved with their parents sponsorship letter. This doesn't happen often (not to say impossible)
