Why should it have consequences?! Ask yourself if that comment adds any value with its false equivalence of actions that can cause death. 🤷🏼♀️😂 On the other hand, I self-reported my travel and the authorities had no problem. Dude, it's a visa application and everyone's circumstances are different. I'm relaying my experience as people might find it useful. (It's not like the question doesn't come up neatly every day.)
Maybe they didn't have it in the account long enough or there were other factors. I had very little in the chequeing account on the statement I sent, so I don't see how they have a problem with it being in savings.
Anonymous participant 324 I can't commit to saying for certain, but I did, and at least for the second application, they knew about it. That said, I did return so they were there both on the day of submission and the first day of the second round of processing. I was also in Indonesia when the first was approved (and they're have known that if they put two and two together. We only did an overnighter back in Indonesia and we were back in Singapore when the second two were approved. So it's a definite maybe, but could depend on the embassy/consulate. I mean, I applied abroad because the Singapore requirements are ridiculous (even with being residents, it was too much documentation).
Anonymous participant 324 Look, I'm no expert, it might be different for different embassies. HCM didn't ask (I did travel), even though they asked for other info. Maybe Jakarta liked my kindly worded letter. Maybe it was less important because it was Dependent visa. But it's obviously not totally prohibited.
