 If you can open an account in Bangkok, you can probably open one in Chiang Mai, but customers of Bangkok Bank and K Bank told me that DTV cannot be used.

 Yes, this is disappointing to me. The bank said that it only allows pension visa, student visa, accompanying student visa to open an account.
