It was the STV (special tourist visa), 90 days, renewable 2x, but can’t be converted to a non-resident O. I was told otherwise, unfortunately, by my local immigration office.
I went to 5 banks telling them I needed to open an account in order to get my retirement visa. Each one insisted that I had to provide a copy of my work visa! Huh?
I ended up paying an agent 3000 baht for some kind of certificate which a bank accepted for opening an account. A lot, right?
