I searched for "non-B" in the group but didn't find much, so asking here.

I need to go to an overseas Thai consulate to apply for a Non-B visa for my upcoming work permit. My employer has recommended Laos or Malaysia. I'm also thinking of Vietnam, purely because I've never been and it would be great to see Ho Chi Min. But the ease of getting the visa is of course most important.

Any recent experience regarding the length of time it took to process the visa in either Malaysia, Laos or Vietnam? Any issues with any of the consulates?

Kindly confirm if work permit can be issued if you are in Thailand on non-immigrant type B visa.

Can I change my tourist visa to a non inmigration B whitout leaving Thailand?? Thank you!
