If a company is willing to hire me and sponsor my visa how would I go about obtaining the appropriate documents to provide them? Are there specific visa services that help with work visas? Is this even possible? Thanks...

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a work visa in Thailand with employer sponsorship, you will need to gather specific documents including your CV, education degree, medical certificate, and passport. Your employer must also provide company documentation. The application process for a Work Permit and Non-Immigrant B Visa involves separate documents but must be completed in sequence. If your employer is unfamiliar with the process, it is recommended they consult the Ministry of Labor for requirements or consider hiring a visa agent, although this can incur significant fees. In many cases, the hiring company handles most of the paperwork, requiring minimal input from you.

The worker documents are your CV, education degree and transcripts, employment release letters or verifications, a current medical certificate, passport with Non-B or Non-O visa, and photos. Your employer must provide company documents.

If the company does not provide the staff assistance to apply for a Work Permit and Non Immigrant B Visa then I suggest that they/you hire a Visa Agent (often an Accounting Firm with a Lawyer available for certain documents. If you have little experience in Thailand and cannot read Thai - figuring out the correct documents and WP application form can take weeks and would likely be deficient. Fees range from 15,000 - to 20,000 Baht.

You can get a list of required documents for the WP - Work Permit from the Labor Ministry. And for the B Visa you can download from a Thai Embassy/Consulate website in a country neighboring Thailand.

The WP and B Visa are two separate documents from two different entities but the processes are intertwined and must be followed in the correct sequence.

If the company has no idea what to do, let them visit the Ministry of Labor in the area and ask for the requirements to apply for the Work Permit. All Ministries has a list. They go back to office and start copying the company documents, together with your passport and certification copies they can apply than for the Work Permit. Depending on Ministry of Labor they get directly or a few days later 2 papers, WP3 application in progress and letter, which you have to take to a Thai Embassy or Consulate to apply for the Non Immigrant B visa.

After you enter Thailand with this Visa you visit Ministry of Labor to pick up the Work Permit and you can start to work.

I see. I spoke to someone at the company and they asked me to provide them the necessary paperwork. I suppose I'll need to ask someone else there.

I

Don't use an agent it will cost you 10 times what it should.

Jump onto the Thai government website I'm sure you will find the relevant information there and download the paperwork. Email to the employer, I think that would be the easiest way if you are not in Thailand

No need for a Visa Service to make some photo copies of your passport and certifications.

.

Normally if a company sponsors you they take care of the paperwork,

You only need to fill what is required of you, and the company should have the relevant paperwork.

Best to talk with them
