So about to decide for a new SETV visa at between HCMC or Penang/KL.

Any opinions?

HCMC is famous for no rejections and no queue? Penang more waitingtime but easy to travel to the landborder?

KL more strict? ( I am european )

I was the last 5 months here, so Vientiane is probably a bad idea? (In my passport only 1 visa + excempt + extension till now)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering applying for a SETV visa in HCMC, Penang, or Kuala Lumpur and seeks opinions on which location is best based on factors like wait times and visa rejections. Comments suggest HCMC is known for no queue and fewer rejections, while Penang has manageable wait times and is pleasant to visit, with one user mentioning a positive experience in Kota Bharu. KL is perceived as stricter, especially for a European applicant.

Penang is a nice place to visit. Both HCMC and Pengang are good options. I have little wait time at Penang.

I went to Kota Bharu and it was a breeze. Remember closed Fri and Sat because it is mostly a Muslim country.
