Exit and reentry, new passport and the epass system at the airport.
- NON O on 1year extension until 2025
- exit yesterday via ePass (stampless) with old passport (current valid passport)
- old pass port has reentry permission and extension stamped.
- getting a new passport in home country
- Reentry with old and new passport
Since I got no exit stamp via the epass how is the process to get everything in order to get back with out cancelling the 1year extension using the new passport?
I'm not in a hurry to apply for new passport still valid after 2025 but running soon out of free pages.
Could get a new passport at the embassy. Is just more effort and more expensive.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on reentering Thailand with a new passport after exiting the country using the ePASS system, which did not provide a departure stamp. They hold a NON-O visa with a one-year extension valid until 2025 and plan to obtain a new passport due to running out of free pages. The response clarifies that the lack of a departure stamp is not an issue, as Thai immigration records can validate the exit. It advises showing both old and new passports upon reentry and ensuring the entry stamp reflects the NON-RE visa class to maintain the extension.
