Any advice? Got my new passport. Have a current Non-B VISA on my old passport. Should i engage an agent to deal with stamp transfers or simply do it myself at the immigration. As i have experienced before they prefer agents to represent foreigners. Your take.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses whether to hire an agent or manage the transfer of a Non-B Visa from an old passport to a new one independently. Most commenters recommend doing it yourself as immigration procedures are straightforward and were completed without issues by those who did it personally. Concerns about immigration preferring agents due to potential bribery were also mentioned, along with advice to bring proof of payment of the passport application when going to immigration.
I did my new passport visa transfers a few weeks ago and immigration required proof of payment either a receipt from HMPO or credit card/bank statement showing payment.
Apparently immigration has seen an increase in fake passports and that is the reasoning given... Dont shoot the messenger !
Since when has immigration preferred agents? (Other than the fact that they're getting bribed). I've been in Thailand 15:years, never used an agent, never had a problem with immigration
