1. I will be traveling to Thailand again in December. I would like to stay for 90 days. As a U.S. citizen I can get a 60 visa exempt. If I leave Thailand for a few days, will I get another 60 day stamp? I did this last year and received the new 60 days. However the immigration official called over another official and they took their time reviewing it before stamping it. The Chicago Thai consulate won’t commit to an answer.

2. if I would purchase a 60 day multiple entry visa for $200, I can come and go. If I leave at the end of 60 days will they stamp me for an additional 60 days when I return a few days later?

3. I am considering applying for a non-o retirement visa. If the process is not complete in 60 days (which would give me a 90 day extension, if I have leave after 60 days, how does the non-o get completed?

4. since I would like to stay for 90 days, my departing ticket would be after 90 days. I can purchase a ticket to another country dated during my 60 visa exempt period to show for a departing ticket. If I use it to leave for a few days, I still face the question of an additional 60 day stamp upon returning.

can anyone in this forum help with an answer?

Hi, hoping someone can help me as there's too many posts to navigate here 😓. As a U.S. citizen currently in Thailand, I'm wondering where the best embassy to apply for the DTV visa would be?

Also, for the financial requirements, I've read a lot different answers on this but will the embassies require 6 months of bank statements or just the latest? My plan was to transfer the 500k baht to my bank account just to apply for this visa but I'm afraid this will not suffice?

Any guidance is much appreciated! 🙏🙏🙏

I will be requesting a 30 day extension as a U.S. citizen at the immigration office soon. I am currently in Thailand with an arrival visa. Is there anything I need to bring with me, Aside from my passport, and 1900 baht?

My wife is Thai, we plan on visiting family for 3 1/2 months. I am a U.S. citizen. What is the simplest way for me to stay in Thailand for this duration? I don’t mind traveling to other countries for extensions. Thanks in advance.

Hi, can one apply for an E-Visa (TR60) from outside of one's home country of legal residence? I'm a U.S. citizen, currently in Thailand, intend to visit Cambodia or Vietnam once my visa is up here, and then apply for a TR60 E-Visa from Cambodia in order to re-enter Thailand. Or would they reject this since my entry flight to Thailand would not be from the U.S.? (sorry if this has already been covered - thanks!)

Edit: My intent with applying for another TR60 is to maximize my time with a 30-day extension, for a total of 90 days.

I am an American citizen living in Udon Thani, Thailand, on a Multiple Re-entry Extension of Stay, with a Retirement stamp in my passport.

I have a newborn daughter who is also a U.S. citizen (No Thai parent) that is currently in Thailand on a 30 day visa.

I would like to get a longer term Visa for her to stay with me.

Would she be eligible to get a Non-Immigrant Visa "O" -- As an Accompanying family member?
