I'm asking this question in reverse this is about Thais getting work visa's to go to Australia , I own a company and employ many foreigners in Australia on WHV but my partner is thai and I would really like to get her brother to Australia to work for me, even if it is only a short period, I've asked Australian solicitors and they tell me Australia has no agreement with thailand so the old 457 doesn't apply and never met a thai on a WHV am I missing an obvious solution to this issue ??

I have a question regarding my work permit and its connection to my visa and stay status. I arrived in Thailand on Mar-2023, holding a Non-Immigrant B-A visa, also known as a "Working Holiday Visa," which allows me to stay for approximately two years. In due course I obtained a local part-time job to keep myself busy and was granted a work permit.

The spirit of the working holiday visa is to provide stay with flexibility.

My concern is, if I decide to terminate my part-time employment, would it affect the validity of my visa/stay? I've heard that with sponsored business visas, the visa/stay status is directly linked to the work permit, so if the employment is terminated, the visa is also cancelled. Does the same rule apply to my situation?

I'm an Aussie under 30 and I am looking to apply for the Working Holiday Visa to enable me to stay in Thailand for 12 months without the need for visa runs, and have several questions.

1. Will this visa allow me to take up volunteering while in Thailand?

2. Am I required to take up employment with a Thai business on this visa?

3. Do I have to have any/all my flights booked at the time of application?

4. How long does it generally take to process this type of visa?

The website states the processing time for this visa can take 1-1.5 months and I'm really hoping this is not the case. If it is, I would rather get the METV - would it be silly not to wait a bit longer for the former?

Asking for my partner who is an Australian currently living in Germany (he still has an official residence in aus). He would like to apply for a working holiday visa for Thailand. After contacting the Thai Consulate in Sydney they said we have to contact the German Embassy (tho he isn’t a German citizen).

Do you know more about this issue? Can he apply for a working holiday visa and if yes, which embassy does he need to contact?
