Just one question please.

In the Thai NON-IMMIGRANT VISA TYPE O-X website page states:

[members only]/

Applicants must hold passport and nationality of (1) Japan (2) Australia (3) Denmark (4) Finland (5) France (6) Germany (7) Italy (8) Netherlands (9) Norway (10) Sweden (11) Switzerland (12) United Kingdom (13) Canada (14) United States of America

But the Sydney embassy says that:

[members only]/

Eligible Applicants for O-X Visa

This category of visa is issued to the applicant who is an Australian national or a permanent resident currently residing in Australia whose age is 50 years or over and are currently residing in Australia.

I would like to know if New Zealand citizens can apply for the NON-IMMIGRANT VISA TYPE O-X?

Because NZ citizens who lives in Australian are considered Australians residents and I am New Zealand Citizen living in Australia.

What do you think I am eligible to apply for it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A New Zealand citizen inquiring about eligibility for the Thai NON-IMMIGRANT VISA TYPE O-X has noticed conflicting information. Official guidelines state that applicants must hold citizenship from specific countries, but local embassy guidance suggests that residency in Australia may allow for eligibility. The individual seeks clarification on whether they can apply, given their residency status in Australia.

Generally if you're a legal resident then that's your "home country" which is different to nationality.

For the non OA (and I assume OX) you can only get in your home country or country of legal residence. As a kiwi in Australia I would think that it’s perfectly acceptable to apply given you have legal residence there. Unfortunately my opinion will not carry weight with the embassy. So I think the only way you’ll get a confirmation of such is by asking them directly.

Only the Thai Consulate can answer that one. You may need to produce some documentation to show you are a permanent resident.
