How can I successfully obtain a 90-day Type O Visa for volunteering from Melbourne?
Me again. Has anyone from Melbourne been successful getting a type O Visa for 90 days volunteering and if so how did you get it ?
Summary so far
A user seeks advice on obtaining a Type O Visa for volunteering in Thailand for 90 days specifically from Melbourne. The comments indicate skepticism about the feasibility of obtaining this visa, mentioning difficulties faced by Australians and raising questions about the operation of the local consulate. Some comments also highlight recent changes making volunteer visas harder to acquire.

Since the scam, volunteer visas are almost impossible to get. Have you had a formal invitation from a foundation?

Is the Melbourne consulate still in business?

they use to do the O visa if you are thinking of the one that was on St Kilda Road. Though I think now you have to use the Sydney consulate; and those visas were only issued if the foundation had issued you a letter confirming your placement and it was a registered foundation through the Thai government.Paul *******
