I'm going to immigration office now.

Bangkok gave me a 6 month transaction history only. Telling me that I should wait one week if I want the full year history.

My bookbank is updated for the rest of the year. Should it be ok or should I delayed my visit to IO ?0

Hi all,

I am on a NON immigrant-O-Visa, 50+, based on the 800k Baht method, with a saving account at Bangkok Bank.

For my upcoming second extension of stay in CM, do I need a 12 month transaction history, or is one for 6 month sufficient?

Thanks a lot in advance. :-)

Just want to confirm what bank statement is needed fot immigration when i apply for non o 1 year extension based on marriage. The bank (SCB manager say he will 'take care of it' but I don't like putting all my eggs in one basket ๐Ÿ˜Š Plus it took 3 staff and 2 visits for me to add my falang mobile number to my account ๐Ÿ˜…Is it just one statement from over 2 months ago?

Thanks again.

I am going to Bangkok Immigration Chaeng Watthana tomorrow to renew, or more exactly to extend for one year more, my Non Immigrant Visa O based on Retirement. I just need to know if the documents needed are the same as last year ( september 2020 ) or is there new procedures, new requirements specifically for financial conditions and proof of my bank account balance?

1) Bank letter ok

2) Updated bank book the date I apply ok

BUT

3) Never before, have I been asked ( for the previous 9 years I extended my visa each year ) to show a 6 months detail transaction history.

Is this a new requirement?

If yes, do you think the Bangkok Bank branch located in the Government building basement can print this document while I am there?

Thank you very much

I requested Bangkok bank to issue the letter to confirm I have over 400k in the account for over 2 months for my Non O extension of stay. They gave me this letter below which I don't believe mentions 2 months. Is this the correct letter? If not then does someone have a sample of a Bangkok Bank letter required because they said this is the only letter they issue. At Chaeng Wattana, is there a Bangkok Bank downstairs that issues the correct letter?

ATTENTION BANGKOK MEMBERS

who use banked money method for marriage extensions

I got to the bottom of a comment by Ken Sheard who mentioned in another topic they were asked for a years transaction history to get a marriage extension at Chaengwattana in Bangkok. :)

I talked with an immigration officer last night and found out that there are two reasons Immigrations is asking for a print out of transaction history when you use banked money method for a marriage extension.

One reason has to do with the way some banks update a bank book. IF you update your bank book every time you do a transaction you obviously have a 'transaction record' IN the bank book and you don't need to get a print out.

BUT

if you only update the book once a month or once in a while, what some banks do is just print is a summary of transactions <-(money deposited, money withdrawn and the current balance) and that's not enough data for the immigration officer to know you've kept the balance at 400K baht for the previous 2 months before you apply for your extension.

So the reason they're asking you to bring in a detailed transaction print out is to because people aren't updating their bank books regularly and the banks change in how the books are updated by the machines.

Most banks can print a 6 month transaction history on the spot for you. (AND that should easily be enough to show you kept the money in for 2 months before your extension). SO if you're using the 400K baht banked money method for a a marriage extension I'd recommend getting that printed when you get the bank letter.

I'd like to apologize to Ken for being flippant in my commenting. There was no need for me to be that way when they were simply offering out what they were asked for when they got their extension.

Tom, the comment was in your post, SO you might wanna get that print out when you get your bank letter. It certainly can't hurt.
