Should I apply for my visa extension now with a 6-month bank statement or wait for a full year report?

I'm going to immigration office now.

Bangkok gave me a 6 month transaction history only. Telling me that I should wait one week if I want the full year history.

My bookbank is updated for the rest of the year. Should it be ok or should I delayed my visit to IO ?0

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is uncertain whether to proceed with a visa extension application at the immigration office using a 6-month bank transaction history, as they were informed that a full year's history would be available only after a week. Responses suggest that the application might be accepted if the bank book has clear updates, but there's a risk the immigration officer may request the full year's transaction record. Therefore, they have two options: apply now and return with the annual report if needed, or wait for the complete year history before applying.

Okay, there's not much point leaving this open. The O/P has two choices

They go TRY to apply for their yearly extension now with what they have (and if it doesn't work they get the year and go back to apply again)

OR

They wait and get the year and go apply then.

There's not a lot of grey area in it. So

you're out nothing but time trying to apply with 6 months history print out. Go try and see. Make sure you have the bank letter AND update the bank book the day you go..

Good Luck with it

use the mobile application to receive a full year report to your email, it takes a few minutes to arrive (assuming when you wrote “Bangkok” you meant “Bangkok Bank”)

depending on timing this won't work. If you request a 12 month statement in the app today then September is month 12 so unless your previous extension was in October they won't accept it in my experience because it won't cover September last year.

at least in Bangkok you can't down load your own transaction history. it has to be printed on that "dot matrix" like paper and stamped from the bank

Bangkok has always requested from me 12 month transaction report. Keep in mind I use the 65k per month transfer method. I'm on non-O (over 50) visa extension. They also request to see bank book and want copies of each page for the past 12 months

Totally going to be up to the office you use and the officer you're in front of, takes about 5 days to get a year detail transaction report from some banks.

All you can do is try and if it doesn't work go back with the year report next week

If your passbook has been updated to be able to show every single transaction (no bulk-up entry for some period), it is supposed to be okay. But if there is even one entry of sum up for the short term, you need to get a full-year log from the bank.

But, there still might be a chance that the officer will ask you to get a log from your bank when you have a 'clear' passbook copy. All you can do is go and see how it goes.
