Today at Changwattana I got a years exstension. Now I'm not sure what exstension it is so the admins will have to figure it out. I'm guessing it's based on employment.

I changed jobs so here was the process I had to take:

1. My old school gave me a letter to cancel my Exstension of stay based on emploment on 24th of April. I got applied for an exstension pf stay based on the covid 19 situation. Immigration gave me till 22nd of may for under consideration.

2. I applied for a new work permit in Bangkok and got it a week later on 5th of may.

3. Today I went with the new school to immigration to apply for what i thought was going to be a New Non-B. But instead they gave me this exstension of stay until may 2021.

If i need to remove details from stamp let me know.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received an extension of stay after changing jobs and going through the application process. Initially, they canceled their previous extension based on employment and applied for a COVID-19 related extension. After obtaining a new work permit, they went to immigration with their new employer, where they were granted a new extension of stay until May 2021, rather than a new Non-B visa.

@Benj****
nailed, it,

-they cancelled their original extension based on employment,

-applied for an "unable to travel due to covid 19" extension

-got an "under consideration stamp"

-then went in and applied for a new yearly extension with a new employer from it..

No great mystery, but it seems the O/P was confused about what they were doing. They were NOT applying for a new Non-B visa (which you can't do from an amnesty stamp) they were applying for a new yearly extension (which evidently you CAN do from a covid stamp).

You applied, you filled in a form with a reason and want us to find out what you applied for? This is not a classroom or a gaming page.

I put it up to hopefully help people in a similar position to myself mate. Just thought you'd be able to shed some clarity because I thought you had to apply for a new non-b outside of the country but i didn't need to. So maybe this can shed some light on a different process for people.
