Hey everyone, I am currently on an Amnesty tourist visa, which expires on December 30. I'm trying to find information if they will extend it or not, but I couldn't find anything relevant. Does anyone know if they will extend it? and if they will, what are the requirements for the extension?

Appreciate any help! ;)

I went to CM Immi last Friday (extension until 30th stamp) and I got a new stamp until 28th Feb.

I only had to turn up personally with my passport, passport photocopies of relevant pages (signed) + TM7 (1 copy) completed + 3 other forms about CO-VID 19 pandemic (completed) and I handed over 1,900 baht. The final steps of waiting for my number to come up around 45 minutes (20 ppl with numbers in front of me) and handing in forms and money and waiting for my passport was another 5-10 minutes.

Thanks. In our case, we booked online for an appointment in Bangkok at counter K1 Muangthongthani. This was the second extension as it was expiring December 30. It was quick to process (we did it yesterday ) but we needed to prepare some printouts to show there are no direct flights and showing that we tried contacting the embassy. They didn’t ask any questions, just had to pay 1900 Baht and the passport was returned in 5 minutes. We have to go back to get stamp for the visa in a couple of weeks. Hopefully we can get 60 days more.

Well,
@B**
as long as you apply for another 60 day unable to travel due to covid extension on or before the 29th of Jan (the date they stop issuing them) you'll get another 60 days
Bim *******
@Tod ********
did you mean they stop issuing them after the 29th January.

@Bim ******
I did indeed, Jan 29th is the last day that the current rule governing the covid extensions is valid for

thank you so much. Wealth of information as always.

thank you I will ask again in the New Year.

@B**
go about a week to 10 days before your current stamp expires..

Well, you're not on a tourist visa because that 60 day stamp ran out MONTHS AGO, and you're also not on any amnesty because amnesty ran out on Oct 31st :O

So you're most likely on an "unable to travel due to covid extension" FROM your original entry stamp that went to amnesty ;)

You can apply for a 60 day "unable to travel due to covid" extension at the immigration office in the area where you live.

How about narrowing down where in thailand you are seeing as there are over 70 immigration offices in the country :)
