Hi,

I am on a 30 day normal extension from a 30 day entry stamp, until the 3rd of May. I’d like to stay in Thailand all May. What do you recommend to me :

* Wait for a possible amnesty to be announced ?

* Go to immigration right away (before the crowd, around end of April) get an "unable to travel due to covid-19" extension stamp, if this stamp still exists ? Do embassies still issue “embassy letter”, after the first amnesty ?

Looking forward for your help.

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their stay in Thailand beyond the 30-day entry stamp, which is set to expire on May 3. Community responses suggest that the option for an 'unable to travel due to COVID-19' extension stamp is no longer available. They recommend that the user should consider making arrangements to return to their home country before their visa expires and mention the uncertain possibility of a future amnesty.

Also, on May 3 could I get the 7 day extension?

Flights are leaving every day. The Thai authorities are not so stupid that they know that you CAN return home if you wish.

>Wait for a possible amnesty to be announced ?

That's always a possibility, but nobody know what the future holds.

>Do embassies still issue “embassy letter”, after the first amnesty

No, the amnesty is to replace the extension of stay based on the COVID-19 virus.

>Go to immigration right away (before the crowd, around end of April) get an "unable to travel due to covid-19" extension stamp, if this stamp still exists ?

No, the stamp no longer exists.

My advice:

1. Wait until the 3rd of May.

2. Figure out a way to return home

Sorry, but your 30 day admitted to stay came to an end,

You have to find a way to go back to your home country, that you like to stay inside Thailand is nice but you need a new visa for that.
