Hey all,

At the moment I'm covered by the automatic amnesty visa until the 30th. However, I was wo during if they are still giving out 30 day extensions for 1900? Just so I would know I was secure for longer than the 30th. And if they are, do you still need the letter from the embassy or have the 30 day extensions gone back to the same requirements as before covid 19? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the expiration of the automatic amnesty visa in Thailand, questioning whether 30-day extensions are still available for 1900 Baht and what the current requirements are in relation to COVID-19. The comments explain that immigration rules remain unchanged, emphasizing that the amnesty was to allow more time to leave Thailand rather than to extend stay, and suggest checking back for further updates after April 30th.

your profile pic would suggest you were working, maybe go the non-b and work permit route

Immigration rules did NOT change, the only thing what happened is that people who can not leave Thailand and are allowed inside Thailand with a date on or after 26 March 2020, can stay without overstay rules until 30 April.

I saw it on a list to extend the visa exempt for another 30

I never needed one before or had to show photos of my condo. But these things were on the list earlier this month.

I meant that they added extra documents to get the extension such as the letter from your embassy. Could I get the extension without that letter now as was possible in the past?

I think right now nobody knows what would happen after April 30th. I recommend checking back around April 30th. However, remember this automatic extension of stay based on the COVID-19 virus was to give you more time to leave Thailand, and wasn't a way to stay longer.
