TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the possibility of extending their tourist visa in Thailand for an extra month, starting September 26, after using a three-month tourist visa amidst the COVID-19 situation. The discussions indicate mixed responses from others, with some suggesting that the immigration office may question the need for an extension, while others recommend visiting the office for clarification.

Tme to close down. They might well ask for .............. But on the other hand, they might not ask for.

Please how difficult it all may be, try to stay to facts.

There are reports of people getting the 30 day extension from a tourist visa entry after they went on amnesty AND there are reports of people being denied the 30 day extension

I see a visit to your local immigration office in your near future. ;)

They might well ask why a tourist who was only planning on being in Thailand for three months needs more than the seven months already given.

seems reasonable to me, but they might expect evidence that you won't be allowed into Vietnam by 26 September but will be by 26 October.

It is not mentioned on the new announcement, you can go and try, worst part is if they say no.
