TLDR : Answer Summary
The current situation regarding entry into Thailand is uncertain due to COVID-19 restrictions. As of now, no foreign nationals are allowed to enter, and restrictions may remain in place beyond the expected lift date of May 1. Even if entry is permitted later, it is unlikely that the requirement for COVID-19 documentation will be lifted before the expiration of the user's visa on May 26. It is advisable to stay updated on governmental announcements regarding travel policies.

Thailand is closed off to tourists until 1 May. You will just have to wait and see what the Govt does after that...

Likely the paperwork will remain required, but you may find it gets easier to get tested by then, making the whole proposition more feasible.

I would not bet on things getting easier. And even if you do get in, I think it will not be much fun if it is for a holiday. So if I were you I would not book a new flight and wait, just get a new visa when things get better.

I believe even Thai Nationals are having headaches returning due to restrictions.

There is no way you can get into Thailand now, at least not until April 18th (all incoming flights were cancelled until this date - so no matter what kind of visa or docs you have, its impossible). And its possible that this date will be further extended, so its better if you just stay where you are...

I don't mind coming early may it's just the documents situation at mo.

No foreign nationals are allowed in at the moment, so really no one will be able to give you an answer on what the restirctions will be come the 26th of May. To be honest, things change hour by hour

If anything, with the continued spread it date will keep getting extended..

Impossible to say but I think it's unlikely. They seem to be introducing more restrictive measures, not less. Can't imagine that's going to go away any time soon. I think they will make things easier for people to leave rather than arrive.
