What Should I Do About My Expiring Visa During Possible Lockdown in Thailand?

I am able to stay in Thailand on my extended 30-day visa exemption until April 20th 2020. I'm so confused and stressed about whether to return to the UK, or stay and see how it plays out in Thailand.

What do we think will be expected of people in my situation (with expiring visas) if Thailand goes into lockdown? If we can't fly out, will we be forced to leave by land to any country that will take us? Will they give allowances to people with expiring visas?

and there is no one on this group who can tell you what to do. IF you contacted your consulate and they don't offer the 'unable to travel due to covid-19" letter you CANNOT get an extension based on inability to travel, period end of story.

The proposal to give a "reprieve to people who end up on overstay is just that, a PROPOSAL from some minister of this or that. It hasn't even been slated to be debated in the government, SO don't hold your breath on that coming to be.

You're gonna hafta decide for yourself what you're gonna do Sorry

You have been warned, you have been asked to go back home, you ignored all and when your Admitted to Stay runs out, you think your Embassy will do what ever possible to help you out?

The simple answer is nobody knows it’s all guesses and speculation

We don’t know what the situation will be tomorrow let alone in a months time

No point worrying and thinking. Going home now sounds secure. You can come back anytime.

My flight back to London is 22 Apr but my exemption is until 12 so I will definitely will do and extension and as flight company promises that they can change the day free of charge I will wait until the end I guess

@Arty ******
not wise to wait until the end...go while you can.

I've bit the bullet and changed my flight before I'm stranded here in the same situation as you. I'm out of here on Saturday morning
