I have an SCB bank account which I opened on a non O Guardian visa over a year ago. Haexcellent now re-entered on DTV.
Forgot my debit card in an ATM and now have to go into the branch to get a new one (fml). Am worried this will result in my account getting closed?! Any advice?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about potentially losing their SCB bank account after forgetting their debit card in an ATM and needing to replace it, especially after recently re-entering Thailand on a DTV visa instead of a Non O Guardian visa. Other users reassure them that changing visa types typically does not lead to account closure and replacing a lost card is a standard procedure at branches. Recommendations include bringing necessary documents like a passport and bank book and potentially using the cardless withdrawal feature as an alternative.
SCB doesn’t automatically close accounts just because you changed visa types. Replacing a swallowed card is a normal branch service. Bring your passport (and old one if the account was opened on it), bank book if you have it, and explain the card was retained by the ATM.
I just lost mine, a few days back. k bank. They ask me to bring bank book and passport. Give me a new card after I paid 300 baht. 50 for the new card. 250 for the annual fees. Never check visa. They just ask where I lost it. I forgotten to take it after I withdrawn money, most likely atm ate my card. They refunded me the balance of any unused annual fees.
