TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on how to cancel their DTV visa and what documents are necessary for the cancellation process. Several commenters suggest different approaches, including letting the visa expire, changing to another visa type which would auto-cancel the DTV, or going through the consulate that issued the visa. The conversation indicates a lack of clarity on the official cancellation procedure and mentions potential options for obtaining help from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For what reason are you wanting to cancel it? I'm not sure you can but if you are looking for a different visa you can convert from the DTV to another visa type at an immigration office inside Thailand.

I am curious why you would want to cancel the DTV visa?
No judgement or anything, just genuine curiosity why anyone would want to.
Changing to a different visa is the only reason I can think of. So just curious if there's any other reasons.
What if you have DTV and don't want to comply with visa requirements anymore like keeping 500K and enrollment in softpower, or remote job? With a DTV you cannot choose to enter on visa exempt.
When you ask MFA or Immigration, they will tell you that visa requirements are for the full 5 year period. I know here is a group that explains the fact that it is not enforced as that it is not needed. Not complying with requirements just is illegal.

I had the same issue & asked the immigration officers from government complex about it.
They also didn't know exactly the cancellation processs & they told me like that ur DTV visa will be automatically cancelled if u issue another type of visa outside of the country.

Participante anónimo 295 but you can't get another visa issued if you have an active visa, they say 🤷🏻
it is hard to contact these two coz they never reply our emails...but I'm not sure about asking in person. It is quite diffcult to go in person to the country where the visa issued only for this matter.

Advice from the Thai Ministry Of Foreign Affairs is:

Unless I'm mistaken you have to cancel the DTV thru the consulate you bought it thru, they have to go into the system and cancel it because they issued it
the Immigration office at Chaengwattana can't cancel a visa issued by a consulate outside the country
You MIGHT go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office out there at the government complex because they run the consulates scattered around the world and might know how you could cancel a DTV
seeing as a DTV is a FIVE YEAR visa it's a long wait for it to cancel and some consulates will not issue a new visa while you still have a valid multi-entry visa 🙁
