What do I need to open a bank account at Kasikorn Bank in Thailand with a retirement visa?

Hi everyone. I searched the group and have a question. I have a retirement visa and want to open a bank account with kasikorn bank. I went to the minburi branch twice and they wanted my ssn card, tm30, passport and US ID. They are saying I need a book for where I’m living with my girlfriend that includes me in the document.

I know sometimes the requirements are branch dependent.

Has any opened an account with Kasikorn bank recently and which branch in Bangkok.

Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
To open a bank account with Kasikorn Bank while holding a retirement visa in Thailand, you typically need your passport, retirement visa, and TM30 documentation. Some branches may also require a document proving your residence, like a lease agreement or a residence certificate from immigration. It's advisable to bring your US tax ID and a Thai SIM card registered in your name for verification. Note that requirements can vary by branch, so it may be beneficial to check with different locations.

I went to Kasikorn bank 3 weeks ago in Chiang Mai. needed lease contract, visa, passport. NOT needed a certificate of residence.

Before went to bangkok bank. and they resisted a certificate.

You will need to get a residence certificate from immigration, wherever you're living will need to have filed a TM30 for you and you'll need to bring along a copy of the receipt to show immigration. You'll also need a Thai SIM registered against your passport and to supply your US tax ID etc
