Hi everyone,
First of all, I would like to thank everyone in this group for their advice and support.
After getting rejected in Hanoi, I applied for the DTV visa for the second time from Laos and finally got approved. I wanted to share my experience with you and with anyone who may apply for the DTV in the future.
* I registered for a Thailand Culture Program through a school. It is a 1-year course program.
* I applied from Hanoi on April 26.
* Within one week, my application changed to “Pending Approval” without any request for additional documents.
* One week later, my application was rejected without any specific reason.
* After that, I went to Vientiane, Laos, and applied again on May 18 using the same school documents and updated bank statements.
* Four days later, they requested additional documents related to my current financial information. I submitted them, but they asked for the same document four more times within one hour. I think there may have been a system issue.
* The next day, my application changed to “Pending Approval.”
* On May 26, I was invited for an interview on the morning of June 2.
* Today, June 2, I attended the interview.
The questions they asked during the interview were:
* Why Thailand?
* Which city will you stay in?
* Where will you stay?
* Can I see your bank account?
* How will you support yourself financially?
About one hour after the interview, I received the approval email.
Once again, thank you so much to everyone who helped me. I hope my experience can also be useful for others in the future.
I will travel to Thailand tomorrow, so if you have any suggestions or advice, I would be very happy to hear them.
Best regards,
