I will move to another country and need to cancel my Non-B visa that is valid until November 2020.

Do I need to go to immigration to cancel, or do I simply leave the country without a re-entry permit and it will be automatically voided?

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about whether they need to visit immigration to cancel their Non-B visa upon moving to another country, or if simply leaving Thailand without a re-entry permit is sufficient for voiding the visa. Community members suggest that while it may be possible to allow the visa to expire by leaving the country, it is generally recommended to cancel the visa at immigration, especially if there are work permits or extensions involved.

if the OP move to another country and not plan to come back, just leave by airport and the current extension (without reentry) will be voided. However if you plan to come back and start taking up Employment than you have to void work permit and extension before you leave.

Heres what you need to cancel your visa, this was in March this year, it was a lot more than a letter from my employer, I needed documents relating to my work permit from the tax office. Its in Thai I was given it at Chang Wattana. Hope it helps .

Do you have a multiple entry visa or an extension of stay? Do you have a work permit as well?

Normally it's the employer who cancels the non-B and WP

You'll need to cancel both your extension of stay and your work permit before you leave. When you cancel your extension of stay, you must either leave Thailand the same day, or get an 7 day denied extension of stay for 1,900 THB
