Will I have any issues crossing the Udon Thani land border after obtaining my non-B visa in Vientiane?

Hi all. I’m going for my non b appointment in Vientiane tomorrow and hopefully will be leaving with my non b visa on Thursday.

I will be going back to Thailand through Udon Thani land border and flying from there to BKK. Should I be fine considering I’ll have a non b? ( I will have 20000 cash) is there anything else I should be prepared for and do they generally question at that border?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing for their non-B visa appointment in Vientiane and plans to return to Thailand via the Udon Thani border. They are asking about the border crossing process with a non-B visa and whether they need to provide proof of funds or if they will face any questions at the border. A comment advises that as long as they have their visa appointment confirmation, they should not encounter issues at the Nong Khai land border and that passport control will not be necessary when flying from Udon to Bangkok.

as long as you already have an appointment to get IN the gate at the thai consulate in Vientiane you should be fine.

You will not be asked for anything at the Nong Khai land border (not proof of funds, not onward travel not nothing) and seeing as you're already stamped into the country you won't go thru passport control at the Udon airport or the Bangkok Airport

Just to be advocate of the devil: The Immigration of Thailand at the border check point would like you to fill in the TM6 Arrival/Departure card, they are handed to you just before the boxes with Immigration Officers.

@Chelsea *****
and seeing as you said you're coming back into thailand by the land crossing at Nong Khai you won't be asked for anything when you stamp in to the country.

AND

as I said, seeing as you're flying from Udon <- which is already INSIDE the country to Bangkok <- also INSIDE the country you won't deal with passport control at those airports. So no one will ask you anything
