Hi. I'd like to inquire about Non B visas.

I have been offered a position at a new company. I am currently holding a Non B visa and work permit under the previous one. Would it be possible to switch without traveling abroad? I hold a French passport but have no base there as have lived my whole life in Laos (which is closed) and Thailand so going to France is not an option. Not holding Thai or Lao passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about switching from one Non B visa to another within Thailand without traveling abroad, given their current employment situation. Comments provided insights about the requirements for such a switch, emphasizing the need for coordination between both employers and the immigration office, as well as the necessity of documentation from the new employer.

Okay from an extension of stay you get a letter from your current employer stating you're going to stop work on xxx date, and you get the documents from your new employer stating you're gonna start work on xxx date (the same date) and you go to the immigration office, cancel your current extension based on working for one employer and then immediately apply for a new extension based on the documents from the new employer. It takes coordination from BOTH employers and the immigration office and the Ministry of Labour to pull it off.

Have your new employer contact the immigration office and the ministry of labour to see what they need to do

Do you have a year-long, multi-entry Non-B VISA <- that you got from a thai consulate in another country where you bounce out and back every 90 days

OR

Do you have a yearly extension based on employment <- that you got from the immigration office in your area where you do 90 day reporting?
