I’m on a DTV Visa , last time I was late by over 2 months for my TM47 (90 day report) I didn’t get fined . I’m due again , im late by 2 weeks , will I get fined at Rayong branch or shall I fly out and have a holiday instead in Vietnam and come back so the 90 day resets.

Thoughts please 🙏
Answer summary
The user on a DTV visa is concerned about being late for the TM47 (90-day report) and whether they will incur fines at the Rayong immigration office. Previous late experiences did not result in fines, leading to uncertainty about the current situation. Suggestions include flying out of Thailand to reset the 90-day rule, as the countdown starts again upon re-entry.

Is 90 day report required? I've never heard this.

All foreign nationals in Thailand on a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) must notify Thai immigration of their current address every 90 consecutive days. The first 90-day report must be done in person. If you leave the country, the 90-day countdown resets when you re-enter

If you go out every 180 days why bother reporting for the 90 days. They don't do anything anyway

Anonymous participant 334 the reporting is to update your residence. But if you are out before 90 days then you don’t have to. It resets when you come in again

There's a little thing on your phone called a calendar that you can use to set a date reminder. You should familiarize yourself with it to avoid this in the future.

I know, but after screwing up once before one would think you take great precautions to not do it again.

basically you fly out before every 90 days. The counter resets when you come back into Thailand.

If you go to your immigration office you may well be fined. Leave the country and reset the 90 days when you come in.

Why are you late by that many days?

Leaving the country resets the 90 days, but when you are already over 90 days it will not reset your obligation to report.

You not necessary will be fined, but since it is registered it is just possible.
