What is the 90 days report requirement for foreigners in Thailand?

I see today many posts about the 90 days report. What is that ?

Is there something else to do than just leaving the country every 180 days?

Thanks in advanced and sorry if that’s a stupid question lol

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90 days report is a requirement for most foreigners in Thailand, including those on the DTV visa. It involves reporting your current address to the immigration office every 90 days. The first report is done in person, while subsequent reports can often be submitted online. It's important to comply with this requirement to avoid any immigration issues.

It’s hard to find if, like me, you don’t have much experience with visas in Thailand other than dtv. But it is a thing, basically any foreigner needs to report in every 90 days. From what I’ve seen the first 90 day report you do has to be in person. From then onwards it can be done online

From then onwards to the next stay it indeed can be done online. The first one of the next stay has to be done in person again, so practically for DTV all have to be done in person, except when you use an in country extension, or do the first one to soon, so your second one will be before 180 days.

This isn't something related to the DTV specifically, it is a requirement for anyone (except a few special visas) that stays in Thailand for 90 days.

Every 90 days foreigners need to file a report with immigration of their address.

Yep. You go to your immigration office when you've been in the country for 90 consecutive days and report your address

At 90 days on your DTV visa you have to go to immigration office and check in.

It's free but you have to fill out forms and check in and travel to immigration office.

If you leave Thailand before your 90 days then the time reset.
