TLDR : Answer Summary
When going for your first 90-day report at the immigration office in Bangkok, ensure you have your passport, TM30 form, and a filled-out TM47 form ready. The experience can vary by location; some expats reported their reports took only about 10 minutes in places like Chiang Mai, while others noted longer wait times in Bangkok, especially if arriving later in the day. It's advisable to go early, as lines can be long, and the office may be bustling. Additionally, there can be amenities nearby, like food and coffee shops, which can make waiting more comfortable.

Update on the in person report in Bangkok.

I came at 11:50 and got my number, 456. Now is the number 230.

There is lunch break until 13:00.

The complex is comfortable, there are several food and coffee shops and while I eat, there is an indoor tournament with 3 simultaneous games.

Bangkok might take a while, go there early and get in line before it even opens up.

Last time I was there for the 90 day report it would have taken the whole day. The queue was long and it moved at a snails pace.

But that was in March/April this year, things might have gotten better.

10 minutes fill out the form and wait till your called. It's not a big deal no pay just reporting about your location of stay

What province are you in? Some immigration offices have a drive thru/walk up for 90 day reports. I just did mine in chiang mai. Including filling out the form it only took about 10 minutes. You'll just need your passport, tm30 and a filled out tm47 which is the actual report form. The arrival card shouldn't be needed as we all fill out a tdac digitally on entering.

Bangkok seems to be the most time consuming office. I never ever did it personally there. Had someone do it for me.

My last 2 times in Chiang Mai he has not even looked at my TM30. I still take it and hand it over. He just puts it to the side and scans the passport.

Same here. I even printed out my TDAC one time as they asked for it inside just after it was initiated. The Boss Lady sent a girl to the window to get me to go round the back and print it off. I asked the girl why as it is on system and she just gave me the Thai smile and looked back at the Big Boss 🙂 I cannot complain as she let me off with some details she could have been really awkward over if she wanted,
