Help Needed - Land Crossing

I exited Thailand on a Tourist visa recently. Immigration pulled me aside and said I cannot cross again. I don't know why because I have never entered or exited Thailand by land before and have just one Tourist visa stamp. I had a marriage visa prior but let that expire and hopped on a tourist visa before doing the necessary for the DTV.

I secured my DTV. I have the physical stamp in my passport now.

Does anyone know if I'll have problems crossing by land now that I have a DTV visa in my passport?

I had some say I've been flagged and it matters now that I don't cross by land again but I can't believe it's true unless I was trying for a tourist visa on arrival.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual had previously exited Thailand on a tourist visa and faced issues crossing again, having been told they couldn't re-enter by land. However, after obtaining a DTV visa, multiple commenters indicated that entering Thailand again should not pose a problem, especially since the DTV was now stamped in the passport. Experiences shared by others imply that as long as the crossing is done at a different port of entry from where the issue occurred, and with a valid visa, there should be no complications, despite previous concerns about being flagged.

You need to make a little research about visa excempt, tourist visa & visa-on-arrival, it seems that you confuse the 3

As long as you use a different port of entry than the one where you were denied entry. Sometimes, people are stubborn and don't like to be proven wrong, in any way.

If warned by Immigration officer at exit, it will be shown in the computer, which all officers use, so. it wont change anything going to another point of entry, unless a proper visa can be shown to enter Thailand.

Yes, it will be shown on the computer. Still, if he goes to that same point of entry, he's more likely to meet that same immigration officer.

Since it seems unusual that he was denied entry after just 1 tourist visa, I don't feel the same officer will be the sort of person who will have already reached a state of enlightenment, that will allow him to overlook petty grievances, in such a short space of time. I think it would be more prudent to err on the side of caution, in this situation.

That's what I would do.

Hey probably say to you that you can not cross again without visa :) now you have dtv visa 😀

I assume you did not exit on a tourist visa but without a visa.

The fact that you never entered or exited by land before does not tell how many times you entered by air, and it is just the total number of entries in relation with the total duration of the stays what let IO decide if you can be considered as a tourist or not.

Now you have DTV there should be no problems anymore, neither by land nor by air.

They almost did not let me in on my 2nd visa extempt. Forced me to buy a ticket to Europe. I had non b, ed visa before that etc. But I asked them several times. They told me I will be fine on a DTV visa. So you will as well. Just to many idiots working on visa extempts etc..
