Hi all,
Few days ago I was almost refused entry to Thailand, just bc previously I stayed there 1 year (March 2021-March 2022) using covid extensions to my TR visa (everything fully legal - not even 1 day of overstay or anything). Immigration even threatened about giving me a few years entry ban... For any future visit, will changing my passport to a new one be enough to get 'clear' and enter without problems? Or it's a chance they will keep me on some black list? Thanks a lot for your advice!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user experienced potential entry refusal to Thailand after previously staying for a year on a tourist visa with COVID extensions. They inquire if getting a new passport would help in avoiding future entry issues, to which community members respond that entry control is biometric and computerized, suggesting that a new passport won't change their entry record. Participants advise on current entry challenges, emphasizing the importance of having cash, accommodation proof, and a return ticket to mitigate questioning at immigration.
